Minotaur and Basilisk sprites

This is for a simple sprite project of mine in another sprite forum, wherein I will attempt to sprite mythological creatures (I have a list somewhere, but it'll be boring to type here) in my style.

The first two I attempted were the Minotaur and the Basilisk. You will have to forgive me for the inaccuracy of the rendition of the Basilisk, as this is just done from imagination. Anyone who mentions Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets will have the book shoved up his ass, so don't even think about it.

I'm planning to use these two in a mockup, but I'm having trouble making backgrounds.:S
